Long Time No Blog
It’s been a while since I posted something to the blog. Part of that is because I’ve been busy importing the Europe trip account from the old Blog but I’ve also had some technical difficulties putting up the truck camper post. As we get deeper into spring, new projects begin to take shape. I actually just finished installing some new electronics on our new Century center console boat. We intended to take advantage of the good weather this weekend to launch the boat but had a minor incident at the ramp that forced us to reschedule. Luckily, the damage was minor and we should be on the water soon enough. (Maybe I’ll tell the story some other time.)
In the meantime we are getting ready to leave for Puerto Rico on Wednesday. This trip is mostly for family business; however, I hope we have at least a couple of days to get away and explore some other unkown corners of the island and bring back some pics and/or video to publish here.
Preparations for the Japan trip are also ongoing, although I am not sure if it will happen this year or the next. I am struggling through my second Japanese class, which will hopefully prepare me to be able to at least communicate somewhat. I am also continuing to read any books and listen to any podcasts I can get my hands on.
Japanese class will be on recess for the next week for the anual Washington DC Cherry Blossom Festival. I hope to be there on the 14th and capture some pictures and video of the street festival and other activities. As you can see, a lot is going on this spring and I hope to keep blogging throughout it all so, if there are any readers out there, don’t think that I’m gone just yet.
